About Me
Hi, I’m Grace Maskell. I created this website because I identify as neurodivergent myself (autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, CPTSD), and because my passion is supporting people who feel different, misunderstood, or disconnected from themselves — whether they identify as neurodivergent or not.
I’m a Level 5, BACP registered, neurodivergent counsellor working with both children and adults.
My approach is person-centred, which means our sessions are led by you. My role is to offer warmth, empathy, and a non-judgemental space where you can explore what you feel, what you need, and who you are — at a pace that feels right for you.

A space where every part of you is welcome
Many people come to counselling feeling unsupported in their communities, isolated, or disconnected from their sense of self.
You might feel unsure about who you are, what you want, or what you value. Together, we move gently, allowing you to explore yourself in relation to the world, and to reconnect with what matters to you.
My aim is to help you feel more empowered, aware, and able to make conscious choices about how you want to live.

Lived experience and why this work is important to me
As a neurodivergent person with lived experience of childhood trauma, I understand how painful it can feel to not fit in, or to grow up believing something is “wrong” with you. I carried that feeling for a long time. This is a big part of why I am passionate about supporting people who have felt misunderstood or alone in their experiences.
Everyone’s story is unique. I will listen without judgement and walk alongside you as we explore whatever thoughts, feelings, or memories arise.
Therapy can feel like a big step, and I aim to offer safety, grounding, and compassion as you take it.
