Online Counselling

I offer online counselling via Zoom or Signal, so you can access support from the comfort of your own home or any private space that feels safe for you. Online sessions are flexible and convenient, especially if travel, sensory sensitivities, mobility challenges, or location make face-to-face counselling difficult.

If video calls don’t feel comfortable for you, we can adapt. It’s completely okay to keep your camera off, and we can use captions to support communication. I have an auditory processing difference and often rely on lip reading, so captions help ensure I can follow you clearly when the camera is off. My aim is always to make the space work for both of us in a way that feels grounding and accessible.

Sessions are confidential and secure, just like in-person counselling. To get the most from online sessions, it’s important to have a quiet, private space where you feel safe to talk freely, without concern about being overheard.

Walk and talk/Outdoor Counselling

I offer walk and talk or seated outdoor counselling (such as sitting on a park bench), usually during the spring and summer months and subject to suitable weather conditions.

This approach can be particularly supportive for clients who feel more at ease in open spaces or who find being close to nature grounding and calming. Walking side by side, or sitting outdoors, can sometimes make it easier to talk, reflect, and process thoughts and feelings at a gentler pace than in a traditional therapy room.

Sessions are adapted to your needs and comfort levels. We can walk at a pace that suits you, take breaks when needed, or choose to sit throughout the session. The focus remains on providing a confidential, supportive, and professional counselling experience, while being mindful of privacy in public spaces.

The process of starting counselling sessions

I offer a free 15–30 minute introductory call or Zoom meeting. This gives us the opportunity to discuss what you are looking for from counselling, explore your needs, and see whether working together feels like the right fit. There is no pressure or obligation — it is simply a chance to connect and ask any questions you may have.

If you decide you would like to begin counselling, your first appointment will be a 60-minute session and is charged at £50. During this session, we will go through the counselling contract and complete an initial assessment together. We will also discuss and agree on an ongoing session fee that feels manageable for you, within the £50–£70 range.
